Labour Attachés posted in overseas missions of Colombo Process Member States play a critical role in ensuring the welfare of migrant workers from their home countries by dealing with all employment-related matters. Their functions also cover the employment promotion and identification of job opportunities for their nationals abroad as well as protection of migrant workers from unscrupulous recruiters and employers.
