South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation

The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is regional intergovernmental organization of South Asian countries, founded in 1985. It is dedicated to promoting economic, technological, social and cultural development among the member states and seeks to promote greater regional integration in South Asia. The SAARC is composed of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, the Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
